I borrowed this recipe from marthastewart.com.
1 ¼ cup all-purpose flour
½ cup cocoa powder
2 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
½ unsalted butter
1 ½ cups light brown (golden) sugar or brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
⅓ cup milk
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup icing sugar
8 oz bittersweet chocolate (melted)
Sift flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt together in a medium bowl then set aside.
In a large bowl mix together butter and brown sugar until fluffy.
Mix in eggs, vanilla, then melted chocolate (you can melt it in the microwave quickly).
Alternate between adding the dry ingredients and small portions of milk at least twice to the mixture.
Divide the dough into four equal chunks, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate them for at least 2 hours, up to 3 days.
Divide each chunk of dough into 10-16 little round balls, roll the balls in granulated sugar, then in icing sugar, place on parchment-covered baking sheets, press them all down slightly, and bake at 350° F for 15 minutes. And you're done, enjoy!
